In working to heal and revive the hearts of local churches, Blessing Point consultants use the principles of what we call "Church Cardiology".

Church Cardiology is a biblically-based, spiritually-sensitive, systemic approach to recurring church problems and corporate pain. We believe that Christ deals, not only with the individuals within a church, but with the local church body as a whole. Indeed, we believe that people can come and go in a local church, including its pastors and leaders, but that its problems can remain unchanged, even over decades. 

These painful problems inexplicably seem to repeat themselves on a regular basis.  Your church can even begin to get a reputation in the community, causing even more pain, hindering your church's evangelism and church growth strategies.  This ongoing cycle of pain can result in 1) leadership discouragement, burnout or dismissal; 2) conflicts between pastors and staff, pastors and lay leaders, leaders and the congregation; and 3) church-wide unhappiness and or splits.

A biblical process 

Blessing Point consultants define and outline a biblical process for church leaders to determine what is wrong (diagnosis) in the corporate heart of their church and then prescribes specific steps to heal what is wrong.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ always makes what is wrong very clear, given that it is His church, purchased by His blood. The problem is that leaders often focus on the present symptoms and not on the past where the root problems began. They need to learn to diagnose the signals Christ is sending them through their pain and deal with those root issues.

The Lord of the Church is quite clear when something needs to be made right. His Word outlines steps to follow when you determine what the root problems are. The steps may be simple to understand, but they are often a challenge to put into action and require much courage on the part of church leaders.

They know the right questions to ask. They will assist church leaders in mapping the church’s history. When the time is right, they prescribe possible leadership strategies that fit you and your church to address the root problems and break the cycle of dysfunction.
