North Syracuse Baptist Church "I really believe that God was in the whole healing process that we went through. Since the consecration service this past September we can sense God working in so many ways. People in the congregation and visitors who know the church talk about how they sense a totally different spirit. Attendance is up and even giving is up during hard economic times." Dr. George Miller, Pastor Barcroft Bible Church - Fairfax, VA "Our church body will never be the same. God used the ministry of Dr. Ken Quick to truly help us open our hearts to God and see His critique of our ministry. We are now pursuing confession, repentance, forgiveness, and reconciliation. We sense a growing work of God in the corporate heart of our church. Healing and hope are beginning to capture one heart at a time. From the Elders of Barcroft Bible Church - "Thank you." May God multiply your ministry in many ways." East Boulder Baptist Church - Boulder, CO "Grueling and Glorious!" These were the words Gary used to describe our retreat with his home church last weekend. The body of Christ was ready to look deeply to Jesus and at their history to surface what He would commend, what challenges they faced and what He might have against them in each period of the church's life. We celebrated and grieved, rejoiced and repented. Truly God's spirit was bringing cleansing, conviction, and comfort. It was a beautiful experience . . . We believe revival has begun and will spread. Ken did a great job facilitating the experience." - Gary and Luci Stanley Prince Street Church - Shippensburg, PA “I sense clearly that the Lord of the Church, Jesus, has forgiven us. I sense a willingness among the people to extend forgiveness to one another. Now, we must learn to live as the Body of Christ.” Hope Community Church - Douglasville, GA "What the church does not need is another “band-aid” approach to health or another mega-church program to copy. Blessing Point assists the body to take a close, honest, 'in the light' look at trends, habits, and sins of the past so that they might be dealt with. When this happens, God can move the church to health and a brighter future. Had Mark Barnard not been there to guide Emmanuel Fellowship through this process, Hope Community Church of the C&MA would never have been born, and many souls might not have come into the Kingdom that are now serving Jesus Christ. I believe in this ministry, and thank God for it and for Mark’s diligence in working with churches to see them become healthy expressions of Christ once again." Pastor Dave Wiener
Fredericktowne Baptist Church - Walkersville, MD "This past weekend at FBC for us was one of those special times of healing and restoration that only a few pastors ever get to experience. Brenda & I have prayed for reconciliation off & on over the past five years, but I don't think we ever believed it would really happen. We headed home on Sunday absolutely stunned by God's grace. I know the restoration service was not just about us, but we left having experienced reconciliation, love, acceptance, honor and renewal of friendships. Thank you for your ministry at FBC and to the Body of Christ. " Jeff Hudson, Former Pastor CrossPoint Community Church - Binghamton, NY ". . . we (myself and the Elder Board at CrossPoint) began this journey last December/January through 'Healing the Heart of the Church' . . . Though we could not identify any immorality, dishonesty, or abuse in the past, we did conclude that there was a definite flavor of theological and social liberalism that had wormed it's way into the church, some of this was attributed to past pastoral leadership and attitudes of some people that evolved because of that pastoral influence. The conclusion was that in general the church had developed a: 1.) Disrespect for God's Word, 2.) A disrespect for God's Man (Biblical authority) 3.) A disrespect for God's Church (Again Biblical authority, accountability etc.). We concluded that we should have a service of "Repentance and Restoration". We invited the church both present and past attendees and members to come and participate in this . . . Since the service there has been a great sense of release and joy that was missing previously. Praise The Lord!!!! The attitude of the church has been visibly changed, you can see it on the faces of the people as we gather on Sunday mornings. There is a new sense of joy that was missing in the past. -Pastor Marsh Sorber First Alliance Church - Hockessin, DE "There is no doubt that God directed our church to Ken Quick's ministry as a 'church cardiologist.' He patiently and skillfully led us through the "Healing the Heart of Your Church" process. The end result is a church that God met and forgave and is now restoring to full health. Ken's role is that of teacher, mentor, consciousness raiser and "spiritual pathologist." His experiences working with many different corporate "heart conditions" enables him to diagnose the cause of a church's sick heart. His knowledge and trust in God's Word gives him the confidence to prescribe the strong medicine of sin recognition and repentance that leads to healing and health." Pastor David Jones Pascack Bible Church - Pascack, NJ We initiated the Church Cardiology process in 2006 and conducted our restoration/reconciliation service in the first quarter of 2007. As the chairman of the Elder board I had found it difficult to work through this process, because I questioned whether or not I could truly discern the Lord’s leading. As a result, I solicited advice and direction from others, including Ken. Ken was always encouraging and often reinforced the thought that if I simply accepted my role as an Elder, then the Lord would provide direction. All I needed was the courage to do what the Lord was revealing to me.
I faced the reconciliation service with fear and trepidation because I was afraid of focusing on the wrong things or needlessly offending people. We actually had three separate services focused respectively on Thanksgiving, Restoration and Reconciliation. The irony of it all was that I developed a better understanding of my role as an Elder as we went through this process.
Ultimately the Elder Board began to discern what the Lord was saying to Pascack Bible Church (PBC). As a dysfunctional Elder Board for over 10 years, this process helped us to start re-directing the future of PBC. We are keen on listening to what the Lord of the Church is saying to us and this is helping to revitalize the ministry.
The Church Cardiology process is not over for us and we’re still working through several reconciliation issues with some of our former and current members. Nevertheless, the Lord’s grace has sustained us through this “season” and we now have opportunities to make wise and sober decisions as we seek God’s will to help transform the future direction of our church.

Shiloh Community Church - Snellville, GA Looking back upon the process I am in awe of what God has accomplished. When our Governing Board was approached with the opportunity to read through “Healing the Heart of Your Church,” and meet for a weekend of reflection upon the past ministry of our church, we were apprehensive to say the least. We were a small church that had endured more than its share of trials and reoccurring crises, each time causing the pastor to leave discouraged and dejected.
As the board was working on the historical timeline of the church God began to show us a reoccurring theme that accompanied every crisis that we encountered. God began to show us how we had repeatedly taken matters into our own hands, rather than waiting upon the Lord’s guidance. He also showed us how we had resisted our shepherds and been reluctant to follow their vision.
Through the weekend of reflection God began to work within the heart of our church, but He also began to work within the heart of each individual person, and a dual healing began to take place. To say that everything has been perfect since our confession and repentance would be misleading, as God has chosen to test the heart of our church to see what we have learned, and it has been a difficult road.
The Lord has now graciously brought us back full circle, to where we were when we last took matters into our own hands, and we are being given the opportunity to go down the path that He had originally intended for our little church to take thirty years prior. “Healing the Heart of Your Church” is really about healing the heart of the individual, so that each member of the body of Christ can be healthy, motivated, and effective in reaching the lost with the good news of Jesus Christ.
- David Lampe, Governing Board Member First Alliance Church of Charlotte, NC "Blessing Point was an instrument of God in the development of our church. We went from a small, dysfunctional and dead church to a vibrant, healthy and outgoing church focused on reaching the lost and blessing our community!!!" - Pastor Carlos Velez "Today everything is different, we are ready to re-launch our church and our only objective is to live in community pleasing our Holy and Beautiful Lord Jesus Christ!! We bless the name of our Savior for the ministry of Blessing Point."
