The Path of Revival
Conference
What This Conference is About:
- The passion behind this conference flows from a heartfelt burden for the American Church. If the state of the nation is a reflection of the Church’s corporate health (and many believe it is) then we must be prepared to admit that the Church at large is in critical condition. Neither can we escape the implications for local churches that make up the Church at large. Can America regain the sense of blessing she has known in the past? Can the Church regain its salt, its spiritual influence in our nation? To find answers we must once again turn our attention to that Old Testament passage where the triggers of revival are found: 2 Chronicles 7:14.
- The conference outlines the principles that prepare churches and individuals for a new move of God in our time. Based on The Path of Revival by Mark Barnard, the conference explores personal revival as well as revival in general. But following the outline of 2 Chronicles 7:14 it focuses most of its attention on corporate revival. Past revivals have often bypassed existing church structures that proved unresponsive to the Spirit. Corporate revival sheds light on how to prepare your church so that it is not sidestepped when revival comes.
- The conference explores various questions such as: What is the real nature of our nation’s woes? What are the four biblical concepts of revival? Why is it so hard to humble ourselves? Why is corporate revival so vitally important? How does Jesus speak to a local church today? How does a church repent? When does God pour out His blessing?
- Because the conference introduces substantive issues related to revival, a deeper work may be called for, on a local church level, after the conference. Should a church’s leaders discover corporate hindrances to revival in their spiritual history, further review and rectification of those events before the Lord may be required. In this way The Path of Revival conference serves as a spiritual check up of sorts for a church’s corporate heart.
What This Conference is Not About:
- This conference is not about preaching, though presenters are available to preach following the conference. The conference is substantive biblical teaching on the nature, scope and possibility of revival in our time and in your church.
- This conference is not evangelistic. It is geared toward a churched audience. It is open to the entire church and even multiple churches at the same event. Church leaders should be encouraged to attend and a concerted prayer effort made prior to the conference.
- This conference is not a guarantee of revival. Rather revival depends on a church’s willingness to honestly evaluate what the Lord is saying to them as a church and respond accordingly. Brokenness and honesty are the seeds of revival. Those seeds sprout in your church as you seek His face in light of the conference’s content.
What about logistics?
- The conference lasts two days (Friday night and all day Saturday). Speakers may be available to preach the following Sunday.
- A video projector with remote and laptop for the PowerPoint presentation are required. (If the church does not have one of these, please let us know ahead of time.)
- Consider purchasing copies of The Path of Revival from Churchsmart Resources (www.churchsmart.com). Workbooks are also required which can be produced by the church for free or Blessing Point Ministries at cost.
