Tangible Changes Flow from Making Things Right . . .
Recently, I ran into the new pastor of a church with which we had worked two years ago. His report of how things have since changed encouraged me so much that I wanted to share it with you. It illustrates the tangible results that occur when a church authentically repents of a painful past.
He writes, “Our church recently went through some very painful struggles, and as a result, lost a large portion of its members and leadership. I was tasked with leading the church through the difficult decisions that had to be made for the church to survive. Prior to my arrival as the new leader, Blessing Point Ministries had spent extensive time and energy helping the church work through the incredible pain that had come as a result of leadership failure. Our church members responded as they were allowed to face the personal and corporate issues that had brought them to the brink of losing the church.
I am delighted to report that our church has now moved forward from the struggles of the past with a new passion for following Christ and a new joy in the journey. Our leadership team has a new direction and a new model of leadership and shepherding. The congregation has found a renewed energy for ministry rooted in our unity of faith and purpose.”
This year we had the privilege of ministering corporate healing in ten such churches across the country. We’re praying for the same tangible change in those ministries too. Additionally, we’re praying that God will open more and more doors to bring healing to the Body of Christ. We already have several opportunities scheduled for next year!
As this year winds down, we once again come to you, our friends, and ask for your financial support. In many ways, you’ve already contributed to the ministry through your prayers, which pave the way for the spiritual transformation we witness in congregations. We are doubly thankful for those of you who support us financially as well. Your gifts are making a tangible difference in the lives of ministries and in our lives too. Gifts postmarked by December 31st are eligible for a Federal Tax deduction. You can also donate securely online at blessingpoint.org.
Thank you so much for your consideration. We appreciate you more than you know!
For the radiance of His Bride,
Rev. Mark Barnard, President
